Description
Ice Cream Cake Feminized comes from crossing Wedding Cake with Gelato, giving her an Indica-leaning hybrid profile with reported THC in the 22%–25% range. That's a very high potency level, so this strain suits consumers with some tolerance built up.
Break open a bud and sweetness comes through first, with a mild vanilla note and an earthy undertone underneath. Buds grow dense and thick, heavily coated with trichomes, and can develop purple hues when exposed to cooler night temperatures.
Indoors, she stays compact and bushy, typically finishing around 3–4.3 ft. Yield potential runs high, in the 1.5–1.8 oz/ft² range indoors. Given her easy grow rating, compact structure, and very high THC range, Ice Cream Cake Feminized suits growers with some experience who want a manageable plant, and consumers looking for a strong relaxing strain.
Grow info
Ice Cream Cake Feminized isn't rated the easiest strain to grow, though the source notes that basic growing knowledge should lead to solid results.
Indoor growing
Indoors, she grows into a compact, bushy plant, leaning heavily into her indica genetics, though as a hybrid she can still stretch if kept longer in veg. Under a regular schedule, she typically finishes around 3–4.3 ft, making her suitable for tents or rooms with limited height. Flowering takes about 8 to 9 weeks, with a slow start before buds bulk up and become heavily coated with trichomes in the final weeks. Because odor becomes noticeable during flowering, good ventilation and filtration are recommended. Indoor yield runs in the 450–550 g/m² range.
Outdoor growing
Outdoors, this strain performs best in warm, dry, sunny climates, since lower humidity helps prevent mold on the dense buds during flowering. Plants grown outdoors generally have more room to stretch, which can lead to a higher yield than indoors. Harvest typically falls in early September to October, sometimes taking an extra week or two depending on phenotype. Outdoor yield can reach 700 grams or more per plant, or roughly 24.7 oz or more.
Training and plant care
This strain responds well to training, particularly low stress training (LST), especially when applied early in veg. Training gives the dense buds more room to develop and can help reduce mold risk, while also being considered low-risk and suitable for beginners to try.
Flavors & effects
Flavors
Ice Cream Cake has a smell that starts mild and grows more intense during flowering, with vanilla notes and a mildly earthy undertone. After drying, the flavor becomes smooth and sweet, with a creamy quality some compare to melted ice cream.
Effects
Reported effects include sedation, relief, and relaxation. Some describe a slow-building experience that settles into the body and mind, easing physical tension and potentially leading to couch-lock at higher doses. Effects are subjective and can vary from person to person.
Given the very high reported THC range of 22%–25%, newer consumers may want to start with a small amount before taking more.
