Indoor growing

Indoors, she grows quickly with large internodal spacing, giving her an open structure well suited to training and Screen of Green setups. She's a light-hungry plant that needs plenty of room. Flowering takes about 56 to 70 days depending on phenotype; Afghani-leaning phenotypes typically finish around 8–8.5 weeks, while Mexican and Thai-leaning phenotypes can take up to 10 weeks. Checking trichomes with a microscope is recommended to help judge the harvest window. Indoor yield can reach up to about 1.6 oz per square foot.

Outdoor growing

Outdoors, she's suited to hotter climates and can grow very tall, up to about 14.8 ft in some cases. She's shown good tolerance to high humidity, cold nighttime temperatures, drought, strong winds, and high UV levels, making her suited to mountainous regions. Planting in April or May is recommended, with harvest expected early to mid-October; very large plants may need a full 70 days. Outdoor yield can reach up to about 26.5 oz per plant, with larger plants capable of producing more.

Training and plant care

LST, topping, screen training, and pruning before flowering are recommended. A longer vegetative period can help increase yields further.

Flavors

Trainwreck has an earthy, floral aroma with citrus, spice, pine, and herbal notes and strong lemon overtones. The flavor is smooth, with lemongrass, pepper, spice, and pine notes.

Effects

Reported effects include relaxation and focus. Some describe an uplifting, energizing effect. Effects are subjective and can vary from person to person.
