I ordered six of Gelato autos and five germinated and they are doing good I have grown them several times over the years and have always been very happy with them good strong strain I recommend them because they are easy to grow and don’t take but eight to ten weeks and usually have four to eight ounces

These usually get a 5 out of 5 pp but one failed and the seem to be from all different strains not the same as the Skittlez.. THey are almost finished about a moth shy so we getting serious with the weigh gain... 5 plants every 6 weeks is about as sweet as it gets...

I've planted Northern Lights, Girl Scout Cookies and Gelato. All autoflowers, same soil, water, light (indoor) etc.

Seems that the strain doesn't grow that large, for me it's about 50-60cm and that's half the size of the other plants.

I will try the same combination of plants outdoor in a couple of weeks, hopefully they will perform better this time :)

Wow. I've been growing Nivana seeds for about 25 years. Gelato is by far the best I've grown. A huge producer, grown outdoors, producing nearly 2 pounds or closely trimmed flowers. It was one of the easiest I've ever grown to break down for smoking. It was so powdery (tricomes, swollen ovaries) it is hard to keep a rolled joint lit. It's like smoking hash. In a vaporizer it has a nice terpene flavor. This season I have two going outdoors. They are of lesser stature than last year's monster, but started flowering between 4-5 weeks; most autoflowerers I've grown don't start flowering before 6 weeks. It will be another 4-6 weeks to harvest, in my experience (I go by change in trichrome color). One caveat: all hybrid varieties have a lot of variation. Your experience may differ, but I highly recommend Gelato.

Grew one of the outdoors under white screening to keep out critters and insects. Raised bed with about 50 inches head space. One plant, manicured with sugar leaves trimmed to the ovary level. YIELDED NEAR,Y 2 LBS OF MANICURED BUD. So trichome rich it powdery and very easy to break down for smoking. Growing 2 this year. It's early but the won't get as big as the one last yeal. All hybrids have a lot of variation. Maybe I was lucky. Time will tell.

I bought this as a trial for automatic seeds. I am impressed. a very potent version of Gelato and very easy to grow. I grew some under lights and a couple outdoors. Two things about the indoor plants: They were not as good a yield as the outdoor which gave a 1.5 ounce yield versus just under an ounce indoors. Secondly, one of the indoor plant Gelatos produced a spontaneous flower or two which, of course, ended up giving me some fresh seeds and pollinated two other automatics that I was trying out. I don't consider that a problem, but it is the reason for only four stars.
Bottom line, easy to grow, decent yield for a 10 week plant. has real possibilities for indoors and outdoor growing in a limited space or a stealth grow.

Not a grow report but happy that my seeds arrived a week to 10 days before expected. All 5 of them germinated in less than 48 hours.

After growing the feminized Gelato, I was concerned that the auto version might lack a little of that essential something.

Boy, was I surprised. In a 2x4 grow tent it darned near overflowed the zippers. Big, heavy buds and blooms. Harvested 2 ½ liters from one plant!

Because it's an auto, I just used 8hr dark -16hr light for the entire growth cycle. Fed once per day and otherwise neglected the bush. Still got the full bud reward.

She smokes with an aromatic taste and has cut down my smoking because she's really, really potent. The equivalent of one joint per day (5 one-hit bowls) and I'm a happy camper. Buy this one but leave some for me.

This strain was actually fairly easy to grow for a newbie.. I was very happy with the results. I grew Gelato in a 2x4 tent and had plenty of room. Thanks for introducing me to Gelato.. it's one of my top favorite strains.

She's growing as we speak. Eight and a half weeks in and she's about 44" tall with lots of flowers.Next time, I'll try some LST to keep her a little shorter, but she really looks good. A few weeks and she'll be ready. Can't wait ! Thanks, Nirvana.

This was a closet grow of 2 plants using 5-gallon fabric pots, coco/soil mix, with HLG 320w LED, harvested at 76 days. The yield was 70 grams (2.5 oz) of somewhat loose bud, and almost another 20 grams of trim. The taste is fresh and smooth (I'm not good at describing flavors). It is very potent.
The plants grew to 34.5" and 47", both had a stretched, stringy appearance, but didn't require any attention other than feed and water. There was almost no smell until the last 2 weeks, but then it was noticeable.
